He will not be retained as DC. The only possible scenerio with him staying in Knoxville is as a LB coach, but I dont think he would be willing to do that. Grud........I mean our new coach will bring his own staff. Dooley is done and its more than just about the poor performance on the field.

Graham (RBs) and Pittman (OL) are the only coaches I'd want retained, if the new coach wants to keep any holdovers.

Agree, but it will be up to the new hire to decide.

Just received word that a deal has been reached with Jon Gruden to be the next head coach at UT. Dooley will officially be fired and announced on Monday.

I agree. Both have done an excellent job this season,

I've heard the same Gruden rumor, but I'm still not completely certain that he is the answer to our problems.

Was in the truck all day and didn't get to see highlights of the game vs USC. I did see the bottom line when I got home and it looked like you guys found a way to rip defeat from the jaws of victory, but it was unclear in how it came across. Appeared you guys were up a score icing the game and turned it over in your redzone?
