2014 Michigan Wolverines: Team 135

I'm starting the discussion on the 2014 team. I feel decidedly bleh about the program right now, but that's not the main thing I want to talk about.

I'm pretty hung up over how the team and the athletic department handled the Gibbons thing. As a current student, I'm embarrassed, and I'm considering not getting season tickets for the first time since I started college at Purdue in 2007. Is that unreasonable? I don't mind a crappy team; I can watch losses, but an athletic department that implicitly sponsors rape is not something that I want to support financially. I'm afraid that my passion for Michigan may dictate that I watch on TV regardless, but I can at least keep them away from my wallet.

What do you all think?

I did not go. I have been to a few of them a couple of years ago but have not been to the last few. If they ever actually decide to actually have a spring game and not some glorified practice I will go back up to them.

I did end up watching all 2 hours of the practice, scrimmage, or whatever the hell it was. I actually wished I would have not watched it. Seeing that crap again from the offensive line managed to drop my excitement level for the season down a notch.

I know it`s just practice and there is a long ways to go but the offensive line looked like straight garbage again. I think there is a chance that they will be worse than they were last year. I know that getting Eric Magnuson back will help and they better hope like hell Chad Lindsey decides to transfer here. Hopefully they grow up fast.

I like that Hoke got rid of Borges and brought in Nussmeier. How he managed to keep Funk around is insane. The offensive line has gotten worse every year under Funk.

Alabama transfer Chad Lindsay is expected to sign with Ohio State according to Twitter. Michigan needed Lindsay in the worst way possible. Not getting him is bad enough but transfering to OSU is an extra kick to the nuts.

The team reports today and practice starts tomorrow. Here`s to hoping that Nussmeier can fix the mess that is on offense. Also I hope that Mattison is just not blowing smoke when it comes to playing aggressive on defense this year.

I hope you're right. I'm ready for a monster defense and an offense that can put points on the board and do it often and well.

I don't really care for the blue on blue, but whatever. Never felt like Michigan was a team that needed to mess with alternates in the first place. Enjoyed the clips against PSU though

If we lose to ND, MSU and OSU I feel like we will be getting a new coach next season.

I don't want to see Hoke go. And I really don't want to see us lose all of our rivalry games except Minnesota.

I have been a die hard fan all my life but have never been to a game live. Is there an easy way to score tickets or is there a waiting list?

The low tier OOC games and conference games always have tickets floating. Right now I see a bunch of tickets.

I haven't been to a live game yet either but I want my first game to be THE GAME but my schedule hasn't line up in my adult life.
