Some good old-fashioned football porn.

That one-handed catch by Darboh was insane.

BTW, is he an American citizen now? I'm not sure if the commentators mentioned it.

Yeah, I couldn't make heads or tails of that either...

But seriously, the Sean McDonough/Chris Spielman booth was funny today. They did a drop in to the booth where you get a visual of the commentators standing up and McDonough was holding a HUGE piece of paper with all his talking points on it...kinda looked like a coach's playbook with how intricate it looked. The camera guys realizing this after a bit, tried to zoom in super slowly to cut out the paper and focus on McDonough/Spielman's upper bodies but they couldn't really do it. During the same shot, some other TV production guy wandered into the background of the booth shot, looked at a monitor, noticed he was on live TV and froze for a good 3 seconds before exiting stage left off camera. And then there was Spielman jumping all over the poor sideline reporter (or McDonough, can't remember) after the reporter insisted that this beatdown was one of the most real/humbling things in the young BYU QB's life so far and he'd probably learn from it, but Spielman talked over him about how the Mormon mission the QB went on was way more important/real and that the QB was used to adversity before they both kinda realized they were on the same team, talked it out and got on the same page...on live TV once again. The broadcast was in preseason form today.

From MGoBlog's recap of the post-BYU Harbaugh presser. Harbaugh is answering a question about if he can sense how much improvement the team is making...

Quote:
“Oh, how much. Can’t really gauge that so much. Think starting to- getting to feel like we’re starting to know this team, and what stands out the most is they like to work. They like to work during the week; they like to work on Monday, they compete on Monday, they compete on Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, and even Friday the hay’s not in the barn. It’s a good team to coach like that, because they come out and work every day.”
That's going to be my new saying about hay not being in the barn and whatnot. Love it.

Loving this. I was cautiously optimistic. I thought we'd be in a dog fight with BYU. And I was praying that Utah would somehow beat Oregon.

Now, we crushed BYU, Utah destroyed Oregon, Oregon isn't ranked, and Michigan is #22.

I gave us a slight chance of beating the Buckeyes and pretty much no chance against Sparty.
Now, I don't know. I don't think OSU looks that impressive, and The Game is always a little unpredictable.

My super optimistic view, if we win the games we are supposed to win, and somehow beat Sparty and Ohio State, we could find ourselves in the playoffs!

I hate how I won't be able to watch the game- even with the noon kickoff. I checked the TV guide (I have DirecTV but I live far away from Big Ten country) and for the first time this year I could not find the Michigan game on TV. I could not watch last week as I was studying for my biology class.

Are you sure because I read on the Michigan FB page that the game has moved to noon and will be the game shown on BTN. I'm in TX btw.
