Week Two Discussion

When I first looked at the season schedule, Week 2 looked pretty weak. now there are a couple of interesting matchups, but there are also a lot of cupcake games.

#1 Alabama @ Texas (12pm)

#24 Tennesee @ #17 Pittsburgh (330pm)

#20 Kentucky @ #12 Florida (7pm)

#9 Baylor @ #21 BYU (10:15pm)


Alabama-Texas has interest from name value alone. The other 3 games could all be interesting and possibly start to answer some questions about some of these times.

Kind of nice that the 4 biggest games of the day for me are all spread out back to back.

Looking forward to the Tennessee-Pitt game. Also looking forward to Kentucky and Florida. I want to see if Kentucky can for Richardson to pass the ball and if so, how well can he actually do it. Florida got a little lucky against Utah and that formula won't work consistently.

Another game I am interested in, and not solely because Miami plays them next week, is Texas 8&4 vs App State. The Aggies OL struggled at times against Sam Houston last week and King did not look the best. I want to see if those things carry into this week also, plus it's always fun to watch App State take on P5 teams.

In a shock to everyone, UofLs defense won the game for them last night at UCF as the offense again struggled thanks in part to Satterfields predictive play calling.

It’s funny how some of the chatter from last week did a 180 around the program and the staff. For me, beat Florida State next Friday night and maybe then I’ll start to let myself think this team/staff can make it to 6 wins this year.

For now it’s just fool’s gold

I imagine this is the start of McAfee being brought in to eventually replace Corso.

Should be high scoring today. Pitt beat them last year but that was with Pickett and company.


Vols, WMU and Rhode Island are next for Pitt, could be a nice stretch if they can hold serve today.

Just in the 1st Q but they definitely looked like they could beat Bama.
