Week 8 Discussion

It's the Third Saturday in October, which means it's time for Tennessee-Alabama. That's the undercard game in a pretty big week for the SEC, with the main event taking place in Austin.

Games between ranked teams:
  • #1 Texas vs. #5 Georgia
  • #7 Alabama at #11 Tennessee
  • #22 Illinois vs. #24 Michigan

Other games of interest:
  • #6 Miami at Louisville
  • #8 LSU at Arkansas
  • #12 Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech
  • #13 BYU vs. Oklahoma State
  • #16 Indiana vs. Nebraska

Re: Week 8 Discussion

Alabama/Tennessee will be what it will be. I could not define this year's team if my life depended on it. From the start of the season to now, the dynamic and chemistry have felt like a roller coaster and not the kind anyone wants to get back in line and ride again.

It shouldn't be surprising, though, as they are in the process of dealing with a new coach and approach just like everyone else after having Saban for the past seventeen seasons. I would rather have DeBoer in there for a half-decade of sadness and misery than go through the coaching changes and fiasco that Tuscaloosa became in the late 1990s into the early 2000s (aside from 1999 and 2005).

Roll Tide, regardless.

Re: Week 8 Discussion

this 4th quarter drive by Okie ST is wild. 4th and 1, didn't look like they got it, but they got it. Then a 3rd and 1 looked like they got it, nope didn't. Still down three, trying to get their first conference win and ruin BYU undefeated dreams

Re: Week 8 Discussion

In the past two weeks we've had Vandy beat Alabama for the first time in 40 years, and Duke beat Florida State for the first time ever.

Re: Week 8 Discussion

Oklahoma is clearly a team missing it's top 5 receivers and starting a true freshman at QB.

6 minutes into the game, 3 turnovers and 2 defensive TDs.

Re: Week 8 Discussion

I think the ball was moving in Ward’s hand…Miami may have caught a break.
