Re: 2024 Postseason Discussion

Great thing we had this expansion. All these close games the last 2 days were worth the change.

Re: 2024 Postseason Discussion

There's a reason I picked Ohio State to win it all in our pick'em - the Buckeyes are pretty clearly the most-talented team in the country. Michigan is just completely and utterly inside their heads. The Rose Bowl should be fun.

We were just completely outclassed across the board. Two biggest games of the season (Georgia being the other) and our hyped D-line did nothing. And this was against a supposedly weak OSU O-line. Howard had all day to throw and that's deadly with his WRs.

Nico was a warrior, but we need massive upgrades on the OL (especially OT), WR and at LB. Highly unlikely, but maybe Sampson gets enough NIL money to make coming back worth it.

Re: 2024 Postseason Discussion

I hope the committee realizes Tennessee had a highly rated SOS and moves them onto next round still.

It's been discussed a lot already. And unless I'm forgetting somebody, I think we're all pretty much in agreement that expansion - at least to 12 - was a bad idea. Most people have stated they wish it had stayed at four or only expanded to eight.

But it expanded to 12 and it's clearly not going back. If anything it will expand even more in the not-too-distant future. We all know this.

So it's either accept it for what it is or find something else to do on Saturdays. There's no right or wrong answer there.

Re: 2024 Postseason Discussion

Cumulative margin of victory was 77. That means the average margin was 18 which is exactly what the average was over the previous 10 years with the 4-team.

The suits get richer while we get a worse product. Woohoo.

Re: 2024 Postseason Discussion

An 8-team playoff would've been ideal. Four P4 champs, highest group-whatever, and 3 at-large bids. First round still on campus. If not, NY6 bowl games still in play for the first two rounds.

(1) Oregon vs (8) Clemson
(2) Georgia vs (7) Notre Dame
(3) Arizona St vs (6) Penn State/Ohio State
(4) Boise St vs (5) Texas

Oh well.

I'd enjoy it more if both of the first two rounds were on campus and only the title game was neutral. Think that'd be more fun and reward the regular season more.

Canes...

I love you bro but...

How much of this salt is from Miami's not being in? Genuine question, not trying to antagonize.
