I'm pumped. But be more excited if this was in Oct. both offenses struggle as always on labor day. Will prolly be a 6-3 game, then Miami pulls a late touchdown to ruin my week. I am hoping I am wrong I just hate when this game is played on labor day..

Not a fan of either team really, but that was some great football, and smack talk! I remember '90 I think when the Seminoles made that rap after being ranked #1 in the country early in the season. And the 'Canes just put a "Stone Cold Stunner" on 'em.

I have like 5 or 6 of those games on VHS. The video is still good, but the audio is pretty much nonexistent.

And of course all the "Wide Right/Lefts"...

Kinda like how the old G'town/Syracuse basketball rivalry was back in the day.

I will be rooting for Miami only because OU plays them in a few weeks and I don't want the Canes to go into that game with a losing record.

This game should not be played the first week of the year.

I too wish these teams would get back to the level they were at in the 90's. This used to be one of the must see games of the year.

I got the next day off of work so I might be tipping a few. As with most I feel this game is too damned early. I don't like our chances, I just think this will be a growing pains year. Our early schedule sucks. Hopefully this game will mean something again in a few years.

this game used to be a power matchup...but neither program is nowhere near what it used to be(see 1991, 1992, 2000, 2002 etc)...this game has lost some of its luster in recent years.
i dont like either team but I like to watch the game and the rivalry.

This game won't mean anything until Meyer leaves Gainesville. Until then the majority of the best high school recruits from the state of Florida will be Gators. Not to mention FSU plays Florida the last game of every year, which pretty much means there's not a hope in the world for a FSU national title anytime soon. The Canes are lucky it's not an every year thing anymore.

But after Meyer moves on we might get another Zook or something and FSU and Miami will have their chance to return to their standards (In the title hunt every year)
