Blaming Meyer for not taking out Tebow is understandable, but you could easily also blame Florida players on the previous two plays were one erased a Td and another erased a first down. Either of those penalties had not happened then Tebow's hit never happens. We dominanted the first qtr 31-0 but did nothing in the 2nd. Keeping him in for this long they were trying to get something going with a stalled offense. You will not see any coach in any conference sub out starters with a lead after just 1 qtr, more than likely after just a half. Especially in a conference game.
Why even worry about blocking a punt when ur up that much & when the half is about to end. And are you really gona say its the players fault because they got a td called back.

Watch that video - it was 2 minutes til the 3rd ended. And blaming the players? Classy. Everything to defend your coach who risks his starters in big blow outs for the sake of scoring.

Maybe because they were trying to score all the points they couldn't score last week against Tennessee.

Unbelievable. Lord Tebow gets injured and now people are calling for rule changes?

              Hope he gets better, though.

Unless some doctor stands up to Meyer, there is no way he won't play. Meyer only cares about Meyer and Tebow only cares about his teammates. He should have never been out there or they should have only been calling running plays. Meyer doesn't have class though, so the backup doesn't get to play much. Just look at how much Tebow played in the first 2 1-AA games.

Brantley played as much as Tebow did in the first two games. Troy is an FBS school btw.

An update: I've read in a few places that Tebow's concussion is a mild one. I hope if he does come back, it'll be because he's 100%. This isn't a sprained ankle, it's a head injury and there are more important things in life than football.

I'm tired of hearing the "Tebow plays the whole game" crap. In the first game he was out at the start of the 2nd quarter. In the second game he was done half way through the third quarter. Tebow being out there in a 31-7 conference game isn't crazy at all...I've watched Colt McCoy play in the 4th as Texas pummelled conference opponents and I believe it was Sam Bradford who through the TD pass against Mizzou last year in the 4th to break the 60 point barrier and set the record. People calling out Meyer are off base.

Perfectly fine hit, he blind sided him from the front. I'm actually not going to defend tebow because the whole college football world crowns him as god and im tired of hearing about it, i dont wish pain on him and i wish him a speedy recovery but it just shows everyone is human.

Incorrect I am afraid. By all other accounts, Tebow's concussion was anything but mild. It is very likely that he suffered a Grade 3 concussion.

The American Academy of Neurology Web site describes a Grade 1 concussion as the athlete having transient confusion with no loss of consciousness. A Grade 2 concussion is when those symptoms, including mental confusion, lasts longer than 15 minutes, and a Grade 3 concussion is when there is any loss of consciousness, even if it is for just seconds.

To anyone who watched the game it's obvious that Tebow was knocked unconscious. Kentucky DE Wyndham said after the game that Tebow's eyes rolled into the back of his head.

Usually, a player suffering a concussion for the first time they can return to play with a Grade 1 the same day, while a Grade 3 concussion may require a player to be out for a full week.
