I can't wait. I really don't see any way that this is a negative for Nebraska, besides losing the yearly match-ups with "rivals" and the history with our opponents, which is an extremely small price to pay.

Absolutely awesome.

I love Nebraska's fans, their tradition and the potential program they bring to the Big Ten.

Imagine if the Big Ten also somehow managed to get ND. That would make, IMO, the Big Ten complete, adding in other teams for balance.

I really don't think ND will join if anyone else comes into the league. Plus Nebraska and ND will make 13.

They won't be able to if Nebraska joins because what are they going to call themselves? The Big 12? That's already i use. Not an attack on you but i really want this to happen because Nebraska fits in with the style of the Big 10. Defense first then offense.

Here is the situation as I heard on Rivals Radio this morning.

If ND joins the Big 10, then that is it. The Big 10 will have 12 teams in 2 divisions. Big XII will likely stay as is.

If however, ND says no, then it is likely that Mizzou and Nebraska would get invited. Colorado will then be likely moving to Pac 10. However, apparently Colorado may be lowering their scholarship limits thus possibly hindering a move.

They even mentioned that Kansas could move to the Mountain West.

So really it all depends on what ND will do in terms of the Big 10

But the Big 12 will no longer be the Big 12 either if Nebraska leaves. Lets say only Nebraska leaves the Big 12, wouldnt they have to add another team?? They can not have a champ game without 12 teams. Who would they go after?

It won't be TCU because Texas would not allow it. I'd say either Boise, Utah or BYU would get a look to join the Big XII. However, those 3 teams may also get courted by the Pac 10
