Chip Kelly gets an extension...
6-year extension thru 2015 at $3.4 million per year making him the 2nd highest paid coach in the Pac Ten behind Kiffin.

For once I agree with an extension. Kelly has proven he's the right man for the job in Eugene.

It appears to be a good move, but I'm always hesitant to see a guy get an extension based on what he does with somebody else's players.

How screwed up is that, The person who has proven absolutely nothing as a coach(nothing positive anyway) is the highest paid in the PAC 10. garbage. I never even knew how overpaid Kiffin was.

True, but this situation is sort of like the Alvarez-Bielema relationship in Madison and that turned out well.

Wasn't Bielema at Wisconson longer then 3 years? I remember the transition between the two but I don't remember the length of time Bielema had been there prior. If he was there considerably longer then it's nothing like that situation. Being a head coach has a LOT to do with recruiting. Ask Charlie Weiss

Precisely why In my comment i said Kiffin was the most unproven, not necessarily the worst. Even as much as i hate Kiffin, Washington state is just that bad.
