1989.


Alabama was 10-0 and Auburn was 8-2. With a win, Alabama would have played for the national title. As it was, Auburn won at home 30-20.


The same scenario as this year, only the teams are reversed.



Also, in '93 Alabama was 8-1 while Auburn was 10-0.

I think it's that there was a lottery to determine what students would get tickets to the SEC Championship, and now many of those who "won" tickets are trying to sell them to make money rather than going to the game. I could be wrong though because I don't get what's funny about that
