Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

I fully expect most of Rutgers recruits to decommit now with Shiano leaving. At least 10 of them.

This is the type of situation where regular people like us do not have and never will have all the information, so it's best to just leave it alone. It's never a simple case of "Kid A has this GPA and ACT, Kid B has this GPA and ACT" when it comes to the admissions department of a school that cares about academics more than the average school. It's a very unfortunate situation for Tillman, but the conspiracy theories that are out there like Stanford's athletic department using the admissions office as an excuse to drop a kid they no longer wanted...this is a situation regular recruiting fans will never be informed on.

He probably had a decent gpa and he went to a pretty good private hs which means he probably could've gotten around a 4.0 at a public school.

He also took the ACT numerous times so he probably got that decent.

It just seems a little fishy to me. If a coaching staff wants a certain recruit and they are qualified academically, they will get him imo. On the surface, it does look as though the staff is using the admission office as a shield instead of telling the kid to look around at other places. Just my take on it.

All of the Pennsy contingent are staying, they are reaffirming their commitment to the University, this includes Muller and Denman so that's a huge get.

Now we just need the Jersey boys to follow in suit.

It would be sad if the locals flake, but the out of state kids stay firm.

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

Interesting that Muller reaffirmed his commitment only a couple hours (if that) after contacting Michigan...
