Won't matter if he insists on playing D I was never bummed about losing AA once he said he wanted to play on the D line...best of luck to him though. Now if you guys land Shaq, I'll be upset....

I kind of agree. The Ducks coaching staff are quite good at developing successful d-linemen with fewer physical tools than Armstead, and they do need bodies in that unit. But yeah, if he were to play LT he could be a beast and even challenge to start right away. Would probably make more money as a pro at that spot too.

According to some USC insiders, he pretty much worships Armond, and that's why he insists on playing D line..

It's too bad for him really. He'll be a very good d-lineman in Oregon's system. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him spend some time inside as well (he'll need to improve his technique vastly and get his hips much lower). But man, with his frame and raw physical ability he could have the chance to project as a top 5 pick in three years. His worship of his brother will hold him back financially if it's indeed his main motivation for going d-line all the way.
