Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

Auburn fans land a mediocre(compared to the rest of the SEC)class during the "title bump" year and what do they do? Look for some negative stuff on their rival who signed the #1 class in America one month after a national title. Classic little brother. Kudos to them.

Personally, neither story bothers me. Philon landed a scholarship at a *gasp* top program in Arkansas. Taylor got a full ride to Kentucky where he'll have a great shot at getting instant playing time. I highly doubt he saw playing time until the 2013 season at Alabama at the earliest. Delaying enrollment isn't a huge deal. You stick to the workout regimen Coach Cochran sends you and take a couple classes at the local JUCO and before you know it, you're at UA going through spring practice.

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

The only thing that frustrates me is I know LSU does a pretty good job at getting the talent that is in LA,etc. I just wish they could go out and land those bigger OOS recruits more like they have in the past with Sam Montgomery, Patrick Peterson, etc. Cause then we may have a year like this year when the top players in LA don't want to attend LSU or whatever

I know they went and got Avery Johnson, Kwon Alexander, Vadal Alexander this year but one has family relations to LSU and the other was born in NO.

Edit: ok forgot about Liggins as well, so they did go more OOS then I orginally thought

Greyshirting is fine if you make it clear to the recruit when an offer is extended or when he commits, not on signing day or a month before it. It shouldn't come to the point where Saban's blatant oversigning means some kids get screwed over.

Stop.. You're making too much sense.

It was a dirtbag move by a coach notorious for shady recruiting tactics, medical redshirting, etc.

Lol... So how's that inevitable title strip and death penalty going?

Like I said. Dirtbag move.
