Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

Not a huge recruiting follower, but I hear Virginia under Mike London is doing better than they were for 2011, in which we did much better with regard to in-state recruiting than we had in the final few years of Al Groh's tenure. Notably, the Rivals #1 ranked ILB of the 2012 class, Kwontie Moore, recently committed to us. We also have commitments from the Rivals #6 and #12 DEs Michael Moore and Eli Harold (respectively), and we also recently got a commit in QB Greyson Lambert, a Rivals 3* prospect who had offers from Alabama, Clemson, and South Carolina.

I personally don't put too much stock into recruiting, but I figure it's better to recruit well than to not recruit well, and it appears Mike London is doing well for the second year in a row.

We'll see what happens, I just think it's hard to leave home knowing 4 of your buddies are staying there together. Hopefully he clicks with a player or recruit at Michigan. Sometimes that makes all the difference.

Tommy Schutt to Penn State.

Blood may shoot out of my eyes if Michigan whiffs on Danny O'Brien.

Some people have said that UM has decided they don't have a spot for him. I don't know if it's true, though...

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

It all depends on what Yuri does. 3 of the spots left are tied to a position (2 WRs and a OL). I'm sure if the staff misses on Yuri, they will take Danny.

I wonder what this means for Dymonte Thomas. I hope he isn't dead set on going wherever Bri'onte goes, because if 2 WRs jump on board first (Payton/Darboh), I don't see a spot for Dunn.

Dunn has affirmed his committment throughout while keeping his options open, and unless we get hit with major sanctions, he'll end up in Columbus.

Dymonte is a Michigan lock at this point, IMO.

Virginia is loaded with talent every year. Groh's problem was that he somehow managed to upset the majority of HS coaches in the state, resulting in them not opening their doors to him and his coaching staff. London understands the importance of building relationships with the locals HS and he seems to have had an excellent relationship with them from his Richmond days.
