Re: College Football Off Topic

Have all the details come out yet? Still don't think this is something that will be settled quickly, but maybe I am wrong. Given some of the details we've gotten, it's no doubt Tucker is dumb, but given the fact they had over 20 phone calls late at night that went beyond 1 hour seems to indicate they had more than just a professional relationship.

He has 7 days to respond before they can fire him.

He has supposedly provided them with evidence but I doubt it will matter. He probably broke rules with a relationship. After it was ended, he ended whatever she was still doing with the team. So either way, they can fire him and she can claim anything she wants but the retaliation for ending the relationship is there.

Yeah it seems the argument on if it was consensual doesn’t matter as I assume phone sex on a work phone is a fireable offense. I do wonder if he was doing better if this would even matter. The time it took from the incident happening to it being made public makes me think otherwise.

ACC departures seem to be heating up. Clemson, FSU, UNC, and potentially more announcing in October is the rumor.

Still wish they would go back to having to sit a year, just without the loss of any eligibility. Personally I think that would solve a lot with not just the portal being abused but also with the NIL in general. You wouldn't necessarily take a NIL deal or commit to one school without considering if you would be ok with sitting a year if things don't go exactly your way. Keep power with the players for being able to make some money off their likeness as well as moving around to situations that are better for them, just not to the extreme degree that we are seeing today. You also wouldn't see coaches letting go of their entire roster and replacing them with essentially free agents in a 6 month window.

Re: College Football Off Topic

I always liked that only graduate students could transfer and be eligible immediately without a waiver. It was a nice reward for those who got their degrees. Would not mind at all seeing it go back to being structured like that again in combination with your idea of anyone who transfers and sits doesn't lose that year of eligibility. Do that and allow any player from a team who has had their head coach leave for whatever reason to transfer and be eligible immediately and I'd be good with it all.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
