I don't see why Alabama won't be able to control the line of scrimmage, at least on offense. Has anyone heard any more about Lacey's "rumored" injury, in practice ? The Alabama O-line should be able to clear room for most any back, even without Lacey. That's why I'm not predicting any sort of blowout. With it being the first game of the season, it's much more likely that Michigan keeps this game close for at least three quarters.
A lot of my Alabama fans seem to be predicting blowouts, but you know how that goes
It's a possibility, but if I was a betting man, I wouldn't lean in favor of that happening.
Big Blue fan here, I have a slight hope of winning this game....that slight is about the length of a yard on a football field. Only because Bama is missing alot of starters I have hope. I think losing by 14 or less is a accomplishment. Final score 31-10 Bama
I took Alabama in the pick 'em, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Michigan win. I just don't have enough faith in the Michigan's defense to actually pick them. I'll be rooting for UM, and that doesn't happen often.
I've gone back and forth on this game, after listening to my dad (Michigan fan) for the past year saying he would be at that game, its been in the back of my mind for a while now, I would say Bama since its SEC but I feel like Bama is slightly overrated with all of the lost starters they should be ranked slightly lower(5 or 6) then I look at Michigan a team that should be called the Eagles of college football, a team that could be great but have a scrambling QB made of glass, but Michigan has a history of beating SEC teams (19-5-1 is the stat I found).so my safe pick is Bama but I would like to see Michigan win it.
I have went back and forth about this one for longer than I can remember. Alabama lost a lot of players. They aren't as strong as they were last years.
However, Michigan lost Mike Martin and Ryan Van Bergen, who are two of the biggest reasons their D was so good last years.
Michigan can score so fast. They've proven that time and time again. Denard is insane. In the blink of an eye he can be around you, and hitting pay dirt.
Alabama's offense isn't bad either!
I'm a diehard Michigan fan. And when I say diehard, I mean it. So I can't pick against them. But I'll admit, I'm nervous.
I think both teams defenses aren't going to do a great job. That's where I can see Michigan having the advantage. The smaller guys on defense (Michigan) won't get tired as quickly as the big guys on defense (Alabama).
IF IF IF Denard shows he can do it against one of the top D's in the country he's jumping to possibly the top of the Heisman race.
I think he's going to need a Mike Vick Vs. FSU type game to do it though, and i don't think Saban is going to let that happen. That said i don't think its all that a major blowout either. Still see the Tide winning though.
