I'm not sure he's that vastly overrated. Iirc he was decent last year, and this year the MSU defense as a whole was a massive let down. I think he'll be a solid NFL player, maybe not a star, but I see him producing.

I'm not sure there's a single accurate statement here...

He had one good game last year, their bowl game vs. Georgia. He was then hyped up the entire offseason and was expected to deliver the type of season that Clowney ended up having for South Carolina. Instead he was invisible for most of the season and specifically targeted by opposing teams because he flat out wasn't good for large stretches. All this while playing on the best defense in the conference; I'm not sure what makes you think their defense was a letdown this year. They finished the year 4th in total defense and 9th in scoring defense while their offense hung them out to dry all season.

Gholston accomplished basically nothing this year, and MSU won't miss him. On the bright side, he only needs one sack in the NFL to have a better career than his cousin did.

Sharrif Floyd, Jelani Jenkins, Matt Elam, and Jordan Reed leaving UF to go pro. Le sigh.

Re: NFL Draft Early Entrees

I have a feeling that Eddie Lacy will declare for the draft after his last few performances.

David Bakhtiari is going pro. Why? I don't know, he was terrible this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Saban tried to get him to declare, and not on some oversigning type of thing, but because he has a 245 lb mammoth of a man meeting them at the building this morning.

His stock can't be higher to be honest. I feel he's a 2nd/3rd rounder, but a solid RB with good potential. Don't see why he needs to stay, especially since his stock can only go down.
