I was referring to the LSU vs. Clemson Chic Fil E Bowl game last year. LSU players were dropping like flies in the 4th quarter. I doubt all of them were genuine.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

Ejections for targeting is such a stupid rule.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

Oh my gosh!!! This targeting bull crap is ridiculous! They just called targeting against Colorado State on a normal hit to the QB. This is a freaking joke!!! It shouldn't have been a flag to begin with.

They're trying to turn football into soccer.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

That's the first time I think I've seen a targetting ejection overturned. It was almost identical to the guy from Cal last night, so there's clearly going to be no consistency to this.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

So after review, he's not ejected for targeting, yet the 15 yard penalty is still enforced? What the heck kind of stupid rule is that?

Re: Week 1 Discussion

I liked that penalty

It's really nice to have a head coach that actually has a clue. It's also nice to see our CBs playing close to the WR and not 20 yards away from them like last year.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

Hopefully in 5 years we can look back at the whole targeting thing as a failed experiment that didn't last long.

"Hey remember that one year they started ejecting players for "targeting" and a lot of them where clean hits? Man, that was crazy"
