Found this interesting, most of you probably won't but ill post this anyways.

Past 7 years in the Mark Richt + Bo Pelini era

Mark Richt- 63-29 W/L
10-23 against ranked teams
2 divisional titles
0 conference championships.
3-3 in bowl games
1 losing season.

Bo Pelini
67-27 WL
8-17 against ranked teams
3-3 in bowl games
2 divisional titles
0 conference titles
No season less than 9 wins.
Oh and fun little fact last time UGA saw Nebraska, they won.

Mannnnnnnnn I wish UGA had the stones Nebraska does.

I hate the "Us against them" mentality that some of the players now appear to have with the fans. The players act like Pelini got fired because of the fans. He got fired because of his poor record against ranked opponents and his declining defense.

Pelini may have recorded 9 wins a season so people might see it as a shock, but we never won a game that truly mattered (Wisconsin..ahh!). This is a move that needed to be done, and I pray it works out. Go Big Red!

Never fun though when we have to battle Florida and possibly Michigan for a new coach though.

Bulldawg,

Who would you (realistically) want if you fired Richt?

Seven years ago, we were in a similar position. We pulled the trigger after a 5-7 season. Six years and three coaches later, we're celebrating a 6-6 season and bowl berth.

I think you all could do better than Richt. But I know you all could do a lot worse too. It's a tricky thing making a coaching change sometimes.

Well the popular idea that has been floating around for a few years is Kirby Smart. Butttt mike Gundy is someone I could see. I think UGA could also persuade Chip Kelley to come back.

Personally I would be fine if we promoted Jermey Pruitt to HC.

And then again, part of me just doesn't care anymore, I'm just sick of watching UGA stuck in purgatory. Honestly with how weak the east was this year, there was no reason to why UGA shouldn't of finished undefeated. Heck Georgia beat the east rep. 34-0.

I just get tired of seeing Georgia lose to inferior teams.
You can't tell me at the end of the Fulmer era you weren't ready for him to get the axe, would you go back to that?

I don't think you want Mike Gundy as your head coach. I just can't see him winning anything.

No question I was ready to move on from Fulmer. And I still think Kiffin would have won if he had stayed. But if you had told me the circus that would ensue post-Fulmer - especially the Dooley years - I don't think I'd have been so eager to get rid of Fulmer.
