    Week Zero Discussion

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. When we wake up two weeks from today, we will be waking up of the first FBS/FCS gameday of the year. It's only an appetizer and we're not there yet, but it's football and it's right around the corner regardless. Despite baseball and the Olympics, the gap between July and late August has been miserable as always. I'll spare the romantics because that's always been baseball's shtick and college football is the sport of fun drunks and not sober poets, but allow me to welcome you to the 2016 college football season.

This is your viewing guide for the ceremonial kickoff weekend of college football, or "Week Zero" as I like to call it.

    Football is back.

LOL...your viewing guide for Week 0 cracks me up!

I am attending Purdue for the next two years, so looking forward to tailgating/watching some BIG football. Purdue will be awful, but I'll get to see Cincinnati, Iowa, Penn State, Northwestern, and Wisky all at Ross-Ade Stadium.

I also had tickets to the MSU-ND game at South Bend, but then an in-law decided to get married that day and had to give them up. Looking to make up for it by catching the October 29th Miami/ND game.

Oh god that's terrible. I'm so sorry.

I broke Rule #1, There are worse games to miss than NC State though.

The thing that's funny is the guy is a huge football fan (Auburn grad) so he gets it...and his brother coaches on staff at a D1 school and can't miss the game so he's missing the wedding all together. The whole thing is a fiasco!

I'm glad the Cal/Hawai'i starts so late because I'll be at my high school's first game.
I'll put it on the DVR & fast-forward through commercials till I catch up in real time.
I'm really interested in seeing what the crowd attendance looks like.
Looks like Cal is a 3 TD favorite so I don't know if the 4th quarter will be worth watching,
but It should at least be an entertaining start. I'm going Cal 45 Hawai'i 22

As for the Saturday game, those are two teams I wouldn't normally give a second glance to,
but with no other competition I'll be all on it. I don't have a score for this one but if 5-time defending national champion ND State doesn't win, I'll personally eat my laptop & buy everyone on OS a round of drinks lmao

17 days until Louisville kicks off the 2016 season vs Charlotte. My tickets came in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I have been chomping at the bit to get back to tailgating and watching football!
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

All I hope for the Ducks is they find a somewhat competent QB and beat the Huskies for the twelfth year in a row. Huskies still lead the all-time series 58-45-5.
