Anyone "could" pull it off if Michigan continues to be its own worst enemy. We've already seen Cincinnati and Air Force do a decent job being competitive. But Purdue's [pass-happy spread] offense is right in the wheelhouse of what Don Brown's defense excels at stopping. Purdue's defense is also less likely to heavy run-commit like Air Force did and Michigan's offense needs to feed off the run game to get its constant early game jitters out of the way.

I honestly see this as a bad matchup for Purdue, even though they are an improved team over their usual doormat status from years past. Of course, a series of fumbles, interceptions, blown coverages, injuries, and/or bad officiating could always yield a surprise result.

Re: Week 4 Discussion

If Michigan insists on being in 2nd/3rd and long all game again, it's going to be a struggle. Speight seems like he's snakebitten on getting the ball out to the receivers on timing routes. If a guy isn't WIDE open he isn't throwing it. Purdue's been good on first down defense so far this year. I have absolutely ZERO confidence in this Michigan team blowing someone out until they prove they can. I'm expecting another struggle game.

On the other hand, Purdue hasn't seen a defense even close to this so far, so we'll see if they can score enough points.

But it ain't the team; the play calling is the worst it's been since Hoke/Borges in the PSU game.

It's both. They are being limited a lot by the ineffectiveness of the QB.

Those 3rd and 7s become 3rd and 2/3 if they actually committed to the run.

Joy Galloway has secured a seat in my "Dude, shut up." table. I don't think I can listen to him anymore because he's just.....terrible.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Re: Week 4 Discussion

Clemson's kicker is out for the season after tearing his ACL in a "freak accident" at practice.

A defender rolled into him during the team's 2-minute drill at the end of practice.
