Re: CFP Semifinal | Sugar Bowl - #4 Alabama vs. #1 Clemson

Anyone else think the whole "hurry up to the line and squeeze a play off after a questionable call" is sort of counterproductive? The play is almost never run. I almost think using the normal tempo might be the better strategy sometimes. To me, it's kinda like when a DB throws his hands up in the air to feign innocence--you know he had a handful of jersey. An admission of guilt.

Love the Bama players treating Saban like a Fabergé egg after Hurts ran into him on the sideline. It was like: "dang Jalen, you killed Coach!"

Bama-UGA looks to be an interesting game

Saban's reaction was classic, too.

"You ****ing kidding me?" written all over his face.

I still don't think Bama is really that good, but they've got another title shot. Saban is incredible.

Bama is interesting. Their defense is legit, they have a great receiver, a really good o-line, and obviously they are well coached. They have a QB who makes a ton of plays, but you look at him and you keep thinking that if you can contain his legs then you can shut down their entire offense.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of Hurts as a QB, but he's a great person and athlete. I really want to see what Tua can do as a starting QB, but there's no way you can remove Hurts as the starter next year now that he's made it to the title game in his first two seasons.

Yeah, Hurts gets a lot of hate (and has obvious flaws as a passer), but all he's done is lead his team to the title game in both of his 2 seasons at Alabama (barely losing against a phenomenal Clemson team last year). Discount that for it being Alabama and other QBs might also work just fine thank you surrounded by that program, but Hurts reminds me a little bit of Tebow. Tebow was a much better college player and passer, but he just won games in spite of his flaws. Hurts is like that too. I'd accept Jalen Hurts in a trade for any Michigan QB that played this season.

On a different topic, boy did Clemson miss Deshaun Watson and Mike Williams in this game. A totally different game with and without.
