There are plenty of people to hire. Leach has wanted it the last few times it has opened, wouldn't be surprised if he is interested again. Would love to see his offense with Miami athletes.

If they want to go with a young guy Norvell is out there along with many more young guys with potential. They need to hire someone who is a proven offensive coach in this decade. It wasn't the 90's anymore and Richt was passed by. Anyone can field a top 20 or 15 defense at Miami given the athlete around the area and the way their style of play. The program needs someone who can put up 30+ a game and doesn't score 13.6 points a game against P5 teams.

Mark Stoops name has come up as one of the bookies favorites for the Miami job.

I highly doubt he leaves Kentucky. One, his contract is golden. Richt had a higher base salary, but the performance bonuses in Stoops contract at Kentucky are very sweet. Two, our facilities are better than Miami’s. Three, he’s just now reaping the benefits of his rebuild at Kentucky. Would he leave that to start over at Miami?

The one thing that isn't in there is the potential to win though. Not many coaches are content with having 9-3 as their team's ceiling, and realistically that's what he's looking at if he stays at Kentucky. It may also be time for him to cash in on a breakout season with his best player on offense and best player on defense both headed to the NFL. Miami isn't what it once was, but the recruiting potential there will make it much easier to win than it is at Kentucky.

Miami is a big fan of Temple head coaches, as they hire Manny Diaz.

So much for the drama of waiting and rumors and all that.

Miami is so messed up. They could have had him for free and now they have to pay his significant buyout. What in the world are they doing.
