One thing in Oklahomas favor, bama's only went undefeated 1 time under Saban, 2009. There's a lot of pressure on bama and Oklahoma can win if the tide are crushed by that pressure. IMO thats what happened to them in 2008 (Florida Tebows) and in 2013(kick 6) and in 2014 (tOSU) and 2016 (Clemson) .

In 2016 DeShaun Watson happened to them. Was clearly the best player on the field imo.

Re: Bowl Season Discussion

I really want to cling to hope based on how OU’s played defense last weekend....but I know better.

1. Texas had guys running open that their QB didn’t see or just missed.

2. OU’s corners looked like they were holding about every other play (thank you refs for not calling it). I actually like this strategy more than giving up 65 yd TDs every play.

3. Texas dropped back to pass inside their 10 yard line and got sacked for a safety....that was just luck and basically a game changer. We never blitz and we just happen to call it when Texas had a horrible playcall. I’ll take It though.

Of all the OU teams the last 20 years that have played in a BCS title game or playoff, this is probably the worst imo. The offense may very well be the best but the defense is just so bad.

I honestly didn’t expect this team to even get here so it’s like playing with house money at this point. . I’m going into this thing with no expectations.

I always figured OU would probably win another chip when I least expected it. I’ll keep dreaming....

I knew going into that game he was capable of beating Bama but after what he's done in the NFL, softens the loss slightly. Similar as when Cam Newton beat Bama then went on to star on Sundays. Losing to guys like Steven Garcia and Bo Wallace leaves a bad taste for years.

As much as I dislike LSU , I want them to dismantle UCF. And I'm not really one of those "SEC, SEC" guys. Probaly the only time I'd root for Auburn or Tennessee is if the played Notre Dame lol

And in 2008 and 2014 they ran into ridiculously talented Florida and Ohio State teams that were peaking and littered with NFL talent.

I am not so sure Tua plays. At the awards show, he just smiling about the injury and not saying much. Just watching his body language made me feel like his body is wrecked. Hope I am wrong.

Unless he loses a limb, Tua is probably gonna play. Saban ain't havin' that.

Will Grier, on the other hand, is skipping his bowl.

Well, now Will Grier is skipping the bow game. Disappointing, and it certainly doesn’t help WVU’s chances. I guess the Jack Allison era begins one game early.
