I've been watching so much film on these 2 teams the past few days. All season long I've had OSU secondary as the best. But man Clemson got some players too.

PAC-12 refs for the championship! But....it's not Michael Mothershed, so the conference won't be embarrassed beyond all repair.

Keep the Pac-12 brass out of the replay booth, too.

Literally next Monday. It was 2 weeks. Pretty much the same amount of time between the NFL conference championships and the Super Bowl.

Re: 2019 CFP Final: #1 LSU vs. #3 Clemson

There was an article in the NYT detailing the reasoning for the gap in time between the semifinals and the final.

Originally, the semis were going to be played on NYE. The final is always going to be played on a Monday, and you need at least a full week between the semis and the final. That left the 13th as the date for the final this year.

But the ratings for the semis weren't great on NYE. So they changed it so that the semis are always on a Saturday or holiday. That pushed the semis back to the 28th this season. It was going to be too problematic to move the final up a week, so they left it at the 13th.

In 2024/5, the semifinals will be played on the 28th with the final on the 6th.
