Week 1 Discussion

First full slate of games this long weekend, starting tonight with that mighty UAB vs Jacksonville State matchup.

A lot of good matchups this opening weekend.

Big 10 conference games, Georgia vs Clemson, Alabama vs Miami, just part of the slate of games to get things going.

Of course, I'm looking forward to Monday night when Louisville gets things going.

Great to have college football back in some form of normal capacity.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

Oklahoma-Tulane moved to Norman due to the hurricane.

Tulane will be getting all the money from tickets and concessions.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

I'm very intrigued by the Iowa/Indiana game Saturday.

Curious to see if Indiana can perform when expectations are high for that program right now.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

I just hope we’re more fun to watch and relatively competitive with the tougher teams on the schedule.

I want to see how Milton does in Heupel’s offense. I know he wasn’t great at Michigan, but he’s apparently looked great in practice.

Looking forward to Georgia-Clemson and Alabama-Miami.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

It sucks that Miami only plays 11 games this year and doesn't start their season until next week. Oh well, their scrimmage this weekend that doesn't count at all will be fun to watch for a minute or two.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

Obviously a big game for Georgia. It isn't an elimination game as long as they run the table the rest of the way, but Kirby and the program really need this win. As good as the overall results have been under Kirby, there have not been a lot of victories against other really good teams.

Re: Week 1 Discussion

Tulsa's in good shape to be the first to lose to a 1-AA team after fumbling out of the end zone there.

Appreciate the Gophers making it close for a while, but that quick 14 for Ohio State doesn't instill me with much confidence they'll get back in it.

Boise State 21-0 over Central Florida makes me happy for some reason and I've never cared for Boise. Must be Malzahn.
