Week 5 Discussion

Starting the thread super early just to post this.

Ohio State is apparently going all-scarlet on Oct. 30th against Penn State.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

Those are pretty clean. I like them.

The Thursday night game is likely going to be a terrible one. The last 3 games between Miami and UVA have been 19-14, 17-9, and 13-16 finals. This year's game has the potential to get ugly, though. UVA is a terrible matchup for this atrocious Miami defense and Miami's offense has been awful this year when not playing a high school team.

A loss to UVA ramps up the Manny Diaz hot seat to very very hot, though, so I am not opposed to Bronco potentially embarrassing Manny.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

There's some very solid match-ups this week. Just a few:

LSU-Auburn: This game is always bananas. It could be a shoot-out, a blowout, an upset, literally anything goes in this matchup every year.

Oklahoma-Kansas State: The Cats have had Oklahoma's number for the past couple years, with their longest win-streak in the series in 25 years. Oklahoma looked rough for two weeks, Kansas State is coming off their only loss so far.

The two biggest matchups, as far as national picture goes, are a TOP 10 meeting between Georgia and the freakin' Razorbacks, who are 4-0 for the first time in 18 years. The last time they started 4-0, their most recent commits were being born.

The other Top 10 game is #7 Cincinnati vs #9 Notre Dame. Go Bearcats.

Several other fun games this weekend, but those are the ones I'm gonna be most focused on.

That's always a quirky matchup too. I don't think Ole Miss has the horsepower to stick around, but I think it will be closer than Bama fans want.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

Definitely looking like a fun weekend.

It's really weird to see a top 10 game at noon.

Seeing Clemson fall flat, this is the first real test for Georgia, especially on the line of scrimmage. Arkansas is a running team and Georgia has a great run defense.

I doubt any game will be as fun as the 7 on 7 drill in Tuscaloosa though. the over/under was 79 points last I saw. Which probably means that this game will end up being 23-17.

Alright Satterfield, you want to earn fans back, beat Wake.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

Cant believe Mendenhall lets 28 seconds run off and then blows a timeout...just let the last 12 seconds run off at that point...Cavs would have had 40 seconds or so with the ball

(edit) Unless I guess Bronco knew they were gonna clank it
