i decided to throw my hat in the ring and make a roster file for everybody since i do much editing to make the game better for myself.

highlights of the roster

all players for the 09-10 season

improved tendencies for all players

star players have more of an impact on their team

improved coach sliders ala recruiting priorities, tempo and etc

correct team color backgrounds (the school color you see behind your team roster and other team related overlays)

court edits

also if there is anything that needs to be addressed that would help the highlights i mentioned, feel free to share.

ill update the thread with my progress

a quick update, i did a couple teams to get a gage time wise on how long it will actually take to finish them and its more time consuming than expected.

so im gonna use seryn's roster since most of the conferences are done as a base, so i spend less time on inputting new players and more time on rating everybody.

im doing conferences in ABC order starting with the AEC tonite with some testing to finalize my template for tendencies and etc. im gonna take my time with this and hopefully start with the horizon next week. i wanna watch feast week to see who needs an extra tweak before the roster is all said and done.

another quick update...

i finished the AEC and ACC and just started the Atlantic Sun tonite.

im only on my third conference now, since ive spent more of my time playing games testing, to devise a formula to bring the most out of these rosters.

i finished my formula and was happy with the results so now i should be able to hit these conferences in full stride now.

since im using seryn's roster as a base, it takes 1-2 hours to do a conference he updated, and 2-3 hours for a conference he hasnt updated.

i still have hopes of getting to the horizon conference by monday though it seems like a far stretch.

i may get up early tomorrow and try to squeeze a conference in before the vikings game.

other than that ive been plugging away when i can to ensure accuracy and performance of these rosters, as im taking the marathon approach to finish them, not a sprint.

as of tonite i just finished the atlantic sun conference.

it wasnt edited so i had to edit that one from scratch which took a while.

now im working on the two largest conferences in the atlantic 10 (14 teams) and big east (16 teams).

luckily both were edited and ill have a lot of fun rating the big east!

hopefully i can finish both of these before turkey day.

Care to give us any info on your formulas? I've been thinking of trying to develop some using Ken Pomeroy's possession based stats, just haven't had the time...it is a big undertaking to get things to balance out.

i have 2 formulas, the first one is based on the caliber of player to compute the ratings. the second formula is based on their overall production to compute tendencies.

i dont use an excel spreadsheet or anything, i take a little more time researching the player so i have an better idea of rating him, then i go from there.

i had to put this on hold most of last week cause of thanksgiving, but i watched a lot of games during feast week in which will help me rate some of the teams a lot faster.

i was able to put more time in this week and finished the A-10. im more than halfway through the Big East and should finish that tomorrow. im omitting the scrubs that have little to no impact for the big schools, so the cpu doesnt sub them in when your playing or simming.

i have the whole weekend to work on this so im excited to see how many conferences i can finish come monday!

I've patiently been waiting for someone to finish the A-Sun!!!! Do you have these up on 2k Share yet? If not, could you do so for me?? I would really appreciated it. I am way too lazy and impatient to do all this stuff myself.

time for another update!

i got some good work in today as i finished both the big sky and big south. i finished the big east earlier this week as well and now off to the big 10 which is my neck of the woods and the big 12.

next week is gonna suck as im going to have surgery on tuesday in which it will cut into my time considerably. i shoudnt be out too long and should be able edit again towards the end of the week.

so i hope to finish the big 10, big 12 and possibly the big west before tuesday.

i know you guys asked about ratings of teams ive finished, and im not going to post them now. reason is it that even though theyre done, i still have to test them in legacy to see if i need to make any adjustments before they are finalized. so i ask you guys nicely to hold off on the ratings questions. thanks!

time for another update!

i finished the big10 and big12 last week and finished the big sky tonite. im gonna start the colonial on sunday.

my goal for now is to reach the MAAC by new years day which is 5 conferences away. that way i would be halfway done with the roster at that point, so i hope i can get there next week.

Just wondering how things are coming along...I've d/l'd so many 09/10 rosters and they all have John Wall at 90+ while Aldrich and Collins of Kansas are only rated in the mid-80s.

Being a Big East guy (most notably the Hoyas) I hate seeing teams like West Virginia, 'Nova, and UConn so underrated. Meanwhile the Kentucky Wildcats have five 80+ rated players in the their lineup. I don't know maybe I'm bias. I know Greg Monroe is a little better than the 81 overall he's been given across the board. Jason Clark is MUCH better than the 69 overall rating he's been given, so hopefully you've seen these.

I appreciate you working your tail off on these, I know rosters aren't the easiest things to do in the world...
