    Xbox 360: 2010-2011 Roster Project

Alright guys, I know I'm knew to the forums, but I'd like to get these 2010-2011 Rosters done so we can start using them... I already have all the names and ratings for 2009-2010, so all I'm really doing is graduating seniors, and changing the ratings that need to be changed of returning players, and bringing in new freshmen, transfers and jucos that need to be brought in. Forgive me if this is nothing new (as im sure its not) but I've developed a trend for creating effective ratings for incoming freshmen and juco transfers. Through using ESPN's prospect Grading, I've been subtracting 20 from whatever grade ESPN gives their recruits and using that to rate these freshmen and jucos on the game. So, for example, if a player is given a rating of 91 on ESPN, ill make him as a 71 and use ESPN's scouting reports to give him the neccessary attributes (Im an ESPN insider so Im able to access all scouting/recruiting reports).

I've currently already completed that American East confereance and am almost finished with the Big East. Any feedback/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

strange, cuz I've found a pretty accurate 2009-2010 roster through 2kshare, i just assumed it was done by one of the posters on these forums. it had accurate players, names, ratings... i dont really pay attention to tattoos cuz i mean really... who cares, lol...

That's a shame... i mean i know changes can be made in season, but once uve got the base roster set, arent u supposed to put that out to the public and let people do what they please with it?

There aren't any complete ones on 2k share or on here. As in ratings included. I've found several complete rosters as far as accurate coaches and player names, but ratings are usually way off. Most people just update the names and coaches accurately, but only edit the actual ratings of the really good teams and don't even bother with the rest. I can't complain though, as I'm far too lazy and don't care enough to edit all 328 teams correctly. It's just a pain and takes forever. lol.

As far as I know, the one thing on the OS save file for 09-10 that still needs to be done is the ratings. I've been throwing feelers out there to see what's been done and what hasn't... but hopefully the 09-10 save file can be done.

I'm all for getting started on a 10-11 team, but it's a little tough so early with players still not committing just yet... not to mention the ratings won't really change.

However, one of the main things I did on the 09-10 save was go through and graduate seniors and make sure every piece of info is updated like height, weight, names, numbers, hometown, class year, basic stuff like that. That wasn't until February. I *definitely* think that process could have been started way earlier. So I'm all for getting the ball rolling here.

Big note here...NHL 11 is set to feature all 60 teams from the Canadian Hockey League. That is all 22 WHL teams and all the QMJHL and OHL teams as well. Roster updates via Live are going to be necessary from this point one would think!

I agree that it would be a good idea to start on next years file

Also, if someone wants to go through and do the Classic Teams I found a good post to help with that:

It's awesome that we're already looking ahead to getting the ball rolling for next year, but I'm not gonna lie. My focus is still on 09-10's rosters. There's not even a set list of commits from next year's freshman class, so I think it's a bit early to be setting things up with ratings and all that now.

Oh, i definently understand where your coming from on that one, but i do think that most players have either given their solid verbal or signed a LOI. As such I do believe that we could feasibly start on the rosters (hell a large part of it is that im a DePaul fan and we havent had recruits like these since Dar Tucker and Mac Koswal, lol). I think signing day's right around the corner now, so most of the high school recruits have made there decisions, and those that havent or change there minds can easily be changed (team wise) by the click of a button.

are you going to change the ratings for every school or just the names and add freshman?

Even if he does just the names this isn't something that can be done in a week. It will take at least a couple months, so don't start getting all impatient in here like you did in the other thread.

Just my two cents, and probably more a glimpse at my own personality... but a recommendation for this thread and the 2010-11 project... keep everything organized.

If there's a way to keep track of what's been updated, someone should have that. That will help things move smoothly, and so if someone offers to do something, they know if anything's been done recently.

Maybe a list by conference, whether or not certain aspects have been updated. Off the top of my head, general info (like what I did), ratings, appearance, coaching, and there might be more I'm not thinking of.
