College Hoops 2k5

Just had a war between Wake and Pitt, just a nasty fight between Chris Paul and Carl Krauser. Krauser had 37, Paul had 32. 77-72 OT win for Wake on the road.

This was the first 2k game I ever owned for ps2. I picked it up Friday for $1.99 and started on the rosters. Completed the ACC and the Big East in about an hour and a half, not bad.

Man, this brings back fond memories. Anyone else still play this? I'm playing the ps2 version on ps3 fwiw.

LOL this was Georgia Tech's golden year. We were unstoppable in that game and I still have fond memories of playing. Who can forget Elder's sweet shooting touch and little Will. Jack held the team together and big Luke was a force. Ah the memories. Can't forget McHenry and of course Flight 2 Mr. Ismail Muhammad! I loved seeing the dunks he could do in that game. Made my jaw drop every time.

This is only College Hoops I have left for the X-Box, but I don't play it anymore because I have 2k8 for the 360. But with the old XBox in the basement, I might just have to crank 2k5 up and play a few games.

I keep track of all the scores of every game I play (I don't know why, just for the hell of it) in all sports games, which is all I play, and I was just looking through that spiral notebook and noticed I played more games of College Hoops 2k5 than any other game I've owned.

This is a great game, and I'm glad that a thread was started up again regarding it. I pretty much retired this game after getting 2k8, but never did and will never trade it in.

Still have the game, but didn't play it since 2k8 came.

I remember countless days spent with name editing. And the fact that I didn't know that a young defensive C on the UConn roster was Hilton Armstrong. I realized that just about a month ago

Finished up Pac 10 rosters, gonna knock out Big XII and Conf USA then start the dynasty with GaTech. This game is so smooth, I miss how the old gen systems play! I played w/Arizona St last night against Stanford, fun as hell.

I have this game for ps2 and can' find roster updates on this site. where do you save your roster? and could they be used on the original xbox?

Yeah, I loved 2k5. I remember I was in year 7 with Tulsa when I got my 360 so I quit playing the game. I just finally built a top 25 team with a stud guard that was an NBA prospect. I really couldn't get into 2k6 or 2k7, then 2k8 I was in year 6 with Buffalo and accidentally deleted my profile and lost my game save. Never had the heart to restart a legacy. I was really struggling with Buffalo as well, that is what a love about the game. 2k does such a great job, I never now what to expect game to game. I can win games I shouldn't and lose game I shouldn't. I have been thinking about running another legacy, but I think I might just pick up NBA this year.

I still have 2k5 for regular XBOX and will never trade it in. It was my first CH game I ever owned and loved it. I started a dynasty with Albany and can still name most of the roster to this day.

The rosters you're doing now, are they for the default 2k5 rosters?

This is the only PS2 basketball game that I would stil consider playing. As a matter of fact I played a game over the weekend and it was my first one in probably over 2 years. I couldn't find the memory card with the rosters and settings that I used to play with, but it was still fun. I had forgotten just how good this game was, especially for it's time.

I picked up copy of NFL 2K5 for $0.50 at Gamestop last year. I don't remember playing NBA 2K5. I might have to check it out. Although I enjoy CH2K8 & MLB 09 on the PS3, it's still fun to change things up a little bit and go back to older systems and older games from time to time.

I love periodically going back and playing these old games. Over the summer I borrowed a buddy's ps2 and edited the roster for NCAA 07 (2.99 at gamestop) and played almost 4 seasons of a dynasty. I don't think I've ever had so much fun in a dynasty comparing what happened to what has happened in college football since then.
