2k7 - difference between Xbox and Xbox360 version

If I remember correctly, can't you run up and down on the baseline after a score on the 360 version of 2k7? On the original xbox version, i guess you can't run on the baseline. can anyone verify whether you can run up and down on the baseline on the 360 version of 2k7?

What were some of the other differences between the xbox1 and the 360 versions of 2k7?

In the 360 version of 2k7, players don't have t-shirt under their jersey, right? (and you can't set that in edit player, right?)

On the xbox1 version of 2k7, players do have t-shirts under their jersey. (which is great)

I am really enjoying 2k7 on original xbox. it's so smooth. this was a great engine they had on original xbox.

Re: 2k7 - difference between Xbox and Xbox360 version

Here are some other things I noticed about Original Xbox College Hoops 2k7. If anyone can crosscheck the 360 version of 2k7 (or any game in the series like 2k6 or 2k8) to see if these things are in there that would be great.

-Ability to control whether you do a bounce pass or a regular pass. I can't remember if this was in games like 2K5, 2K6, 2K7 (on 360), or 2K8. But in 2k7 on original xbox, if you hold down the left trigger and do a non-icon pass, (regular pass) you always do a bounce pass. That's really awesome. A great way to make passes without forcing steals. A lot of times you can get a bounce pass through defenders to a guy down low that would be a steal if it was a regular pass. I really like this about 2k7. (it may have been in 2k6, not sure, but anyway it's worth mentioning how great it is)

-Absolutely sick dribble moves. If you hold down both L + R triggers, and double tap on the left analog stick in different directions, you can do a variety of nifty crossover moves. (some of the breaking ankle type moves)

-Speed and pace of the game on default sliders. I don't know what it is about this game, and I do turn Game Speed to slow, and i turn screen success slider up a bit for user and cpu) but there's something about 2k7 on original xbox that just feels right on default sliders. (all-american gameplay) I am able to dribble freely and create space. I've been able to have some great drives off the dribble at times. The overall pace of the game is nice. The CPU doesn't just rain impossible shots. The shots that are contested rim out as they should, if you leave them open they usually score. On all-american, i am getting FG% below 50%. (which I like and is sim)

-Zone defense is effective. Zone defense works pretty good in this game. Players switch off pretty well. Excellent set charge mechanic.

I could go on and on, but I have rediscovered how great this series was on original xbox. 2k7 is a special game. I'll be playing this a lot over the next few weeks. After all, it's tournament time!

I guess my question is does it have the weekly show like the xbox 360 games? I think that's the reason why I got it on 360 back then. Please refresh my memory
Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.

I'm pretty sure they do. On the back of the original xbox version, it says enhanced legacy mode : the deepest legacy mode around gets even deeper with an improved game simulator, updated selection sunday, bracketolgy, and over 30 in-season tournaments.

So i'm pretty sure it's the same show seen on the 360 version. I haven't actually started a legacy so i can't confirm this yet, but even at the end of exhibition matches, bryant gumbel shows up in the studio and he discusses the game with video highlights. so if they have the studio at the end of exhibition games, i don't see why they wouldn't have the same selection show and weekly show in legacy that they have on the 360 version.

Does anyone have both games? maybe they can discuss the differences. i've been playing this game today and it's really great. i haven't played my original xbox in a long time but i'm glad i still have it. 2k7 plays great on this console and there are some great moves in this game. it does not need many slider adjustments on All American and MOP.

anyone else have 2k7 on original xbox?

Hey I just read on the gamespot review for original xbox that indeed the College Hoops Tonight that's on the 360 version isn't on the original xbox version.

Other omissions when compared to the 360 version:

-no hoopcast (which i would never use anyway)
-no confidence meter or team unity (however i think these things may be in the background of the game in some way)
-no create-a-chant as seen on the 360
-more rowdy crowds on the 360 (however the crowds on the original xbox version are no slouch at all, and are much better than the crowds on the ps2 version of 2k8 imo)
-cannot run up and down on the baseline (i think the 360 version has this, can't remember)

Things that the 360 version doesn't have that the original xbox version does have:

-you can wear t-shirts under your jersey (can't on the 360 - this is a huge advantage to the original xbox version, as many players in college hoops wear t-shirts under their jersey)
-smooth as silk gameplay, no lag at all
          -better quicker set charge mechanic
-better collision detection than the 360 version. it's not perfect, but i see a lot of depth to the collision system on bounce passes and stuff. it's not perfect, but the graphic engine is more simplified than the 360 version, therefore is easier to program collision detection

I can't speak for the 360 version because i haven't played it in a while, but the original xbox version seems to play better out of the box. no need to drastically alter sliders. i am making jumpshots and some layups on MOP with default sliders
