Recruiting for a walk-on

If I recruit a player to 100% but do not offer him a scholarship, will he come to my school as a walk-on? He is a player that I would like to have but not one I would generally like to use a scholarship on. He is a 2* and I am at Brown.

Well he ended up signing somewhere else. But does anyone know why a walk-on goes to a certain school? Is it who he is most interested in during the season?

i would guess its random. i had a guy walk on to my team who i recruited 100%

Its random in the code. Its based on unrecruited players and coach prestige as well as local prospects

I'm pretty sure the leftover players are used to fill school's needs first, and then it might go through the list of schools the player was interested in. I have had a couple players that I recruited to 100% join my team as a walk-on. One time I was even recruiting a guy, then I switched schools after the season, and the player walked-on to my new team.

this is encouraging to hear. i'm playing a dynasty with princeton and i would like to keep it as realistic as possible (ivys can't offer athletic scholorships though i did give myself the use of one) and I was hoping that the kids i recruit would become walkons
