Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.

Here's something interesting. Anybody ever see a guy this tall on this game before? It's a first for me. I believe he was a 2 star center that I picked up because he was a 7'2" freshman, but has since grown 2 inches every year. I've never seen a 7'6" player on this game before and am anxious to put him in (even though he's the worst player on my team). haha

I had a 7'6 guy on ps2 but never ps3. I know it's the height max though because with original rosters Kenny George is 7'7 and after the first season he drops to 7'6

Well, it turns out he's far from the worst player on my team. I put him in and it was almost too easy. He grabs rebounds over everyone with approx. 70-75 off/def rebounding. And as for offense, he can't be blocked, so he gets a shot off on every attempt with most of them going in. In my last game, I let him play for 10 minutes and he ended up with 21 points and 14 rebounds on 8/12 shooting . lol

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.

Well I just finished my 16th season, 2nd with Kentucky, and I took them to the NCAA tourament (Their first in a while) with the record of 22-12.

But the interesting thing is one of the assistant-turned-head coaches I'ved followed from time to time. When I first saw him he came out of one of those UC schools I believe and he got the job at Marshall, his record for his career was 43-22 (I believe, not sure tho). He finally got them to the NCAA Tourament for the first time since 1993, in his 9th year, and in his 10th and final year he got them to 25-9 and into the second round before they lost. He now accepted the job at Michigan.

I think it's really cool that I've followed his career somewhat and they he finally has a high presitage HC job now at Michigan. His career record btw is 199-159 and he's 41 years old.

Just won my 800th game during my career with florida. I started out at south dakota st. then to Nevada, and USC. I've won 6 national championships total and last season went a perfect 40 and 0. I play prolly around 10 games per season and I'm hoping to end my career at Florida

Re: Interesting things that's happened in legacy.

I’m in my 25th year. I started out at Campbell, where I won a title in my 5th and final year there. I took the job at Houston where I coached for 5 years, winning 1 title there as well. I then moved onto Michigan where I have been since. The coach that replaced me at Campbell also replaced me at Houston. I thought that was cool creating a connection between the two schools. After year 21 I was offered the UNC job but turned it down to see it go to the same coach that followed me at Campbell and Houston.

I have also seen 4 #1 seeds lose to #16 seeds over the course of 25 seasons. I have also seen 3 of my assistant coaches take head jobs with one getting fired after 3 years which I hired back. I have seen a number of teams, DePaul, USC, and Alabama, all hire really good coaches who turned them around from losing 20 games a season to winning 25+ games a season. DePaul has had the #1 recruiting class the past 5 seasons, resulting in 2 national titles. They have become my rival in the NCAA tournament, having played them in the final four each of the past 4 seasons. When I started out Texas, Florida, and Michigan State were winning the title, but now all three teams have missed the NCAA’s for the past 8 seasons.

This is why I love this game.

I notice in NBA 2k's generated draft classes, there is literally no talent in the 2nd round (with players mostly rated in the 50s). The way my draft class looks right now, there should be some steals in the second round if I can get around to transferring them all to NBA 2k12. One thing I'm enjoying is how their ratings change once they are transferred to the 2k12. There are some instances where lower rated CH players are rated the same or even higher than higher rated CH players based on their position. Tweeners (usually PG/SG combo who are too short to play SG in the league) experience a OVR drop when being transferred as well as jack-of-all trade players who are mediocre at everything.
Did you ever finish your class? What was the highest ovr of the prospects? I feel like with 2k's new attributes rookies will probably be rated lower.

Sadly, I never finished it. I got about half way done and decided it wasn't worth it since legacy issues in 2k12, such as passing, make the game difficult for me to play nowadays. 2k13 is only a few more months away, so I may create a draft class on that game. The highest rated person ended up being a 71 PF, but the CH2k8 to NBA 2k spreadsheet doesn't take into account new attributes that improve overall ratings like abilities. It also doesn't calculate potential, so with those not accounted for, I just had to use my own grading scale. I would have liked to finish it, though. I'll probably start a new season for college hoops next year and try again.
