    Transfers?

I've been playing this game for a long time (my all-time fav) but I've only had 1 player transfer in to my team. I've even completed a 40 year career legacy.

Is this just coincidence? Or do you have to have a scholership open at the end of the year. For example, If I have 4 schollies available, I usually offer them all. If I want a chance at a transfer, do I have to leave at least 1 unoffered at the end of the year?

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I think you do. I've never tried simming ahead, seeing that I had one, and seeing if I still get them when every scholly is offered.

      Yes you do.
      I got 4 transfers in a 6-year span.

        Thanks guys!

I just finished my 2nd season at Sacramento St. (Year 1 - 19-10 NIT. Year 2 - 23-9 NIT. Both times, Montana beat me in the Conf. Championship).

Anyway, I left a Scholly open and pick up a 77 rated 6'7 PF transfer from Maryland! I can't believe I've played this game this long and just figured this out!

Different, but still relevant to the topic.. but have you guys ever seen a player from a small/mid-major school transfer to a bigger school?

Good question. I've seen kids transfer from power to power, but never small/mid to power. It might be because I haven't been looking close enough, but it would be pretty damn cool if a kid blew up at a small school and transferred to a power.

Actually as I typed I was thinking it wouldn't happen, because if the kid was good he would stay at the school because they would obviously give him enough minutes.

I wonder if it's possible to put a player in the reserves on the lineup to make him upset and transfer?

I have but it's been very, very, very, very seldom. Like twice in 15 legacies

It is. I've done it before when I have 3 or 4 kids I want to bring in but am a scholarship short. So if I have a Junior or a Sophomore who is never going to play as more than a 12th man (and is way behind the guys in front of him), I'll cut his minutes out completely or just put him in the reserves to make him mad and either transfer or leave the team.

That's a real good idea and I need to try that out. But I was talking about making players leave from cpu controlled teams. I'll try it out in my free time.

Yeah, I'm not sure how it would work for a CPU team. I don't really think there's a way unless you control the team, since as soon as there was an injury, the CPU would reset the rotation and put that player back in.

But yeah, for your own team, I just look at it as being merciful to the guy. Nobody wants to spend their senior year riding pine because some freshman kicks them out of the rotation.

Change the position of the player.

This game just continues to amaze me. I have been playing it non stop since 2007. That's one hell of a run for any next gen game.

Nice find Sun, I was just checking the other night while at Texas Southern to see if the kid that left my program would sign with a larger conference team but he didn't

He was a 71 rated RS SO but was third on the PF depth chart, with a 4 star PF coming in. I didn't give him any pep talks and just let him walk away to free up another scholarship.

OT: I think it's funny that at the end of the season I bolted for Saint Louis (turning down 4 power schools), replacing Rick Majerus. When I looked up how Texas Southern was doing without me I noticed their HC was Rick Majerus lol. It's funny because we swapped schools and he ended up with the better squad
