After about a year of this game sitting on the shelf, I'm back at it again. Sure the graphics are a bit of an eye sore after playing NBA 2K16 on the PS4, but for fun and depth this game can't be beat. I remember last summer trying to play a game and it just seemed so outdated that I ended up deleting my rosters and sliders and putting it away thinking that I could never go back. Well, a year later here I am, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. No longer am I worrying about slider adjustments or updated rosters. I had the game auto generate player names and I'm playing 11 min halves on default All Conference sliders using the 2K camera and I'm loving it.
I recently started a custom schedule open legacy with Albany and after taking a 35 point beating at the hands of Syracuse (85 - 50) to open the season, I was able to bounce back and win a tight one in overtime against Rhode Island (74 - 71). I have a tough road test with Davidson up next, before hosting Chicago State, and South Dakota State.
Anyone else put the game away thinking they could never go back, only to pick it up again and have as much fun with it as they did 9 years ago? I don't know how far I will go with this legacy with kids, work, classes, and MLB 16...but for now I'm back on the CH2K8 wagon!
