That's why I suggested that everyone updating a Xbox360, PS3 or Wii needs to put the system on a UPS/Battery Backup system, when updating the system firmware.

Will Sony do anything for people that had their systems bricked due to the firmware upgrade?

I looked, and the cheapest UPS/Battery Backup is about $100 unless you know of one that's cheaper.

Has anyone tried a Japanese game yet on the PS3 or know of a site that has tried them on a US PS3? I remember reading that both Asia and US are on the same region for the PS3, so games will work in both consoles.
