My own personal opinion is that the PS3 marketing and launch has been a disaster, not the system itself. The system itself will do just fine and is a fine system. But Sony themselves have done just about everything they can do to sabotage the success of their system, I believe through their overall arrogance. However, the launch and months right around the launch will be forgotten in a couple years anyways so it's all not a big a deal as people seem to think at this moment in time.

I have a launch system and never had a problem with it.
I had to replace my original PS2 after that died, and PS1 too.
This is nothing new hearing about consoles dying.
I am very happy with my 360.

While it's not fact, it's almost a universal truth that the system is the worst in terms of stability.

Mine hasn't blown up yet(knock on wood) but it's been documented that the system had tons of problem when it first rolled out.

You do realize that for every post you make that says "mine hasn't blown up yet" brings your 360 on notch closer to blowing up right? I wish I could take back all my "my 360 is a launch 360 and it's still fine" posts and have my 360 working right again.
