Xbox 360 Questions

I have a couple of questions about the 360 that I was hoping someone could answer for me.
1. Do you need an Xbox live gold account to download roster updates to sports games?
2. Does the Xbox 360 support wired internet connections, or just wireless.

1- Yes, if you downloading the companies rosters. If you want the rosters shared on here, all you need is the Transfer Kit and a memory card.

2- Wired out of the box, wireless adapter cost's money.

Actually, it depends on the game. I got roster updates from 2K for NHL 2K7 through Live with only a Silver account.

Really? I stand corrected then, I thought you had to log on to the Live service to get them, maybe I'm thinking of EA.

Yes, I think it is just EA's games that you need a Gold account for.
