Possible PS3 rumble solution for Sixaxis?

For one thing, it sounds more like rumble than force feedback. For another, I'm not sure how it's possible to have a mechanical, rumble-capable controller with no moving parts. And for another thing, I'm not at all interested in adding more weight to the PS3 controllers just for a little rumble. But it's still interesting nonetheless....

Interesting read, but I just don't see the need for rumble. I guess b/c I am pretty much a sports only gamer, I only have a limited perspective. I always turn it off on the baseball games and I didn't miss it when I had a PS3. IDK, personal preference I guess.

I've loved rumble since goldeneye on the n64. It seems laughable that it not be included by standard in today's consoles. If they can find some way to put some rumble function in, great.

Or they could stop being bitches and settle like everyone else that immersion sued.

Agreed I miss rumble and it always adds to the immersion of the game. GTHD doesn't seem the same without Rumble or Force Feedback.

On a side note, I would love to be able to use my Xbox 360 controller on my PS3. Due to the semi-open nature of the PS3, I think it may be possible.

If you're a sports only gamer then you of all people should appreciate the rumble feature the most. Playing football games it adds to the experience as to varying degrees of being hit, rubbing against someone, in baseball games it helps you find the strike zone, in basketball and other games it can add to the feel of the crowd roar, etc.

I love when you dunk the ball and you feel it in the 360 controller.
