Should Madden look green-ish?

Came home tonight with a PS3 and Madden and an HDMI cable.

Fired it up and expected a beautiful scene. What I got was a green-ish type ugly screen. It actually hurt my eyes to watch.

Shouldn't HDMI look better than S-video? Because i had to use my PS2's s-video cord to get through a half of football.

Try reconnecting your HDMI cables on both ends and don't forget to change your display setup as well. If not I would try another HDMI cable cause HDMI looks far and away better than S-Video.

Sounds like you got a bad connection or a bad cable.

Re: Should Madden look green-ish?

Reset everything, made sure connections were tight and it still looked off.

In fact, the screen had a little flicker in it, barely noticeable at first. I was wondering why my eyes were hurting and my daughters and wife told me the screen was flickering.

I bought the HDMI cable from Walmart last night when I bought the PS3. Its a Phillips brand.

What the heck is going on here?

You need to exchange that cable I think.

Are you set to receive 480p/720p/1080i from the PS3? Make sure they are checked off.

If not, exchange the cable. Hopefully that's the problem.

That's why I always use Official Sony brand cables, never a problem.
