xbox360 HD settings

Probably a dumb question, but I just got a 46" samsung HD tv. Its a DLP.
In my xbox 360 settings, do I set the resolution to 720p or 1080i??

You'll want to set it to match the native resoution of the set. All of the Sammy DLP's I looked at while shopping around were 1280x720, so I would choose 720p. You might check the manual to make sure.

Yep, DLP's are 720p native if I remember correctly. Set it to 720p.

Because you want to set it to the native resolution of the TV.

I have a 37" LCD 1366 X 768 . DOs this mean it should be on 720P or 1080i? I think it looks a little better on 1080i but can barely tell. What is the native for that resolution?THanks.

Set it to whatever looks better. I too have a 1366x768 lcd and I set it to 720 because that's closer to the native res and I couldn't tell a difference between the various hd outputs. If you think 1080i looks better on your set though, then leave it at 1080i.

thanks guys. I had actually set it to 1080. I played NHL 07 in that resolution and I couldnt believe how good it looked. So is it bad for the TV if I continue playing on 1080?? or is the picture better in 720??
