hmm thats funny because they always stop for me... and never start back up until I get out of the game and go back to the dashboard..

Downloaded three demos in a row in one session of Godfather.

If this holds up to be true, this is pretty much pointless.

With 1 PPU and 7 SPU you think they would be able to commit one of the SPUs for this multitasking ability. And give developers ability to override and commit that SPU back to the game and block the downloading in the background program if need be.

Seems like laziness on Sony's part. That or they haven't figured out how to use the Cell yet. I assume we will see downloading while playing games once they figure out the Cell a little more.

I'm not sure but I think that might be due to the EA Sports online ticker which would make 2 active download streams if it's enabled. So if you're d/l'ing something in the background it would stop.
