If the game companies wanted it to be free it could be, they'd just have pay microsoft, but instead of doing (losing money) that they try to make microsoft look bad. Bandwidth isn't free people.
So quit wasting it.

I like how everyone just kind of skipped CJ's point when he's spot on IMO. I only have the 360, and rarely ever visit the Console Talk thread, but from what I've seen the hypocracy over Sony products and Microsoft products is amazing. Sony is killed for the slightest mistake, yet MS gets a "eh, that's business"... almost reminds me of the 2K-EA debates IMO.

Because it's really not true, just look at that elite thread people are still complaining about pretty much nothing. The point is, there has been plenty of free content put on the marketplace before so there's no reason to act like free content is going away.

Lots of people bought the maps and lots of people downloaded them when they became free. That’s what is going to happen and it seems like a fair compromise for both companies and a win-win for Gears players.

Thanks, I had never seen that thread, and I see your point. I guess I'm just happy we have two consoles that are capable of giving us great games. Never really saw the need to argue over consoles.
