But if I absolutely had to choose one..

Then I choose the PS3, since I assume gaming will continue on past the summer of '07.

It depends. What upscaling problem are you having? 1080i related problems are gone on new games. Some launch titles still have problems, but some such as Resistance don't.

Playstation Network is getting an addition this Fall called Home. It's scheduled to go live in October.

Home looks pretty interesting...I think that could be the sleeper hit for Sony's network like acheivments were for the 360. I'm looking at sometime in 09 for the PS...things should be in full swing by then.

if M$ comes out with a blu ray add on or a dual-read total HD reader, my ps3 is out the door on day 1.
