Not really, now I havent read this exact article but have read other reports. Isnt this the, somewhat, stripped down PS3 that lacks the chip that allows PS2 playback? Sony does this and then it will be like the 360 where you have to download things to make certain games work and not all will work, but by doing this it will allow them to lower the price and not lose anything really, I havent heard that it will come stateside for sure but it makes the most logical sense and I could see them doing it right during the Christmas shopping season.
