Finally PS3 related

I got it working, too bad i doesn't play my AVIs, but overall this is a great update.

Great update here. I just threw my Godfather DVD into the PS3 to see how it looked...who would've thought that a movie made in 1972 could look so good? Wow!

EDIT: I got my media extender working too. MUCH more responsive than when I do the same thing on my Xbox 360. I may be in the process of being converted, guys.

Is this because of my tv? .....

I turned on the 1080i resolution only. When I play GTA:SA, NFL2K5, GOW, my tv says the output is 1080i but the aspect is locked in 4x3 mode...i thought all 1080i conversions would make everything widescreen 16x9..obviously I was mistaken. please educate me...

I just did this over lunch, I had the same problem with Madden 07.

Go to Settings and there is an option for games, I can remember the exact wording at the moment.

There is a selection for scaling and it is set on standard, change that to fullscreen and it should fill most of the screen.

It won't convert a 4:3 picture to a 16:9 comfortably... instead it will stretch the image to 16:9. It can't create image that isn't there... if the game only outputs a square, it can't magically fill in the sides to make it a rectangle.

Everytime I try the update, I get 2% and get "an error has occurred (8002F994)

Under Game Settings in the cross media bar, change the display to fullscreen for your PS/PS2 games.

I downloaded it this morning before I left for work. Look forward to checking out the difference. I might put the same disc in the 360 and then the ps3 to see the difference.
