Has anyone heard anything on the release of the 360's with the new processor? I'm thinking of getting a 360 sometime this summer and was hoping to get one with the new processor, so I don't have to worry about overheating and the rings of death. The latest I could find is that they are scheduled for "mid-2007" release, which would mean in June or July. However, some other sites had something about fall. Anybody know what's the latest?

When will the 360 scare be over with? I dont really think the processor is the main culprit, when I opened up my 360, you shouldve seen the amount of dust in there.

Heat is one of the culprits and it's been proven by Llamma.com that excessive heat inside the 360 causes some of the heatsinks on both the CPU and GPU to come loose because the motherboard starts to warp from the heat.

Cooler running CPU's should help eliminate most of the 3 rings of death.
