File transfer on PS3

I'm sure this question is already answered somewhere else but I had no luck finding it.

I want to know if it's possible to transfer files using the PS3 like from a usb jump drive to a sd card. I can copy the file, but I'm not sure how to get it on the sd card. Thanks to anyone that can answer the ? for me.

Plug in flash drive, card, etc., highlight the file you want to copy, hit triangle, select your copy destination (flash drive, card, etc.)
