Well.... I went and did it

As many on here probably already know, I am a huge fan of Sony. But after countless of hours of debating and one NCAA Football 2008 game later, I am now the proud owner of an Xbox 360.

I never thought that I would see the day that my game room consisted of a 360. Not saying that I think the 360 is a terrible system(its obviously not), just that I thought I would never have a "need" for it. But after driving 5+ hours to Fremont, Ohio to land an early copy of NCAA '08 for my PS3 (and a few copies of the 360 version for friends), I was convinced that the 360 was a system that I needed to purchase and the PS3 is a system that needs a swift kick in the pants.

So for any fellow OS'ers that would maybe like to hook up and play some games on Xbox Live(which I am a HUGE fan of) put your gamertags in here or better yet send a friend request to CountryboyOS. Now off to play my new found friend... Xbox 360.

Congratulations countryboy. I think you will enjoy the wealth of games for the 360.

I know you're on my PS3 friends list, so feel free to add me to your Live friends list.

My Gamertag is elTodd. Shoot me a friend request.

Hope you enjoy your new system. When it is working, the 360 is tough to beat.

I sent you a friend request. Do you just have NCAA 08 so far?

definitely enjoying the new system. I have SVR 2007 and NCAA 2008 thus far. Will be picking up quite a few games in the coming days/weeks.

Re: Well.... I went and did it

my advice (as the owner of a 360 that has never had an issue):

Do NOT put the 360 in an entertainment cabinet or stacked with other electronic equipment (put it on top of a table or cabinet and away from heat sources to keep it from overheating)

I may be the only person in the world that does this, but I never turn off the console while I am playing a game. I always go out to the dashboard so that the dvd drive stops spinning before I turn it off. I think of it as 'putting the car in park rather than just shutting it off while it is still in drive.'

Other than that, enjoy....with NCAA, you could probably keep yourself very happy playing nothing but that and demos for at least the next month.

I do the same, I always go back to the dashboard and take the game out. If you look at my "last online history", it's always either 360 Dashboard or Xbox.com.

Congrats on the purchase Countryboy.

Congrats my GT is PdiddyPop OS. Usually you will see me online with either College Hoops, NHL 2007, or soon with NCAA 08. I also do what the last two posters do. Maybe that's one reason my launch system is still in working order?
